From Scrubbles to Bubble Town: A Resurrection

If you haven’t yet seen the “Special Editorial” Gamezebo did on the transformation of Scrubbles to Bubble Town, definitely check it out. It’s a terrific look at how I-play resurrected a dying game through re-branding and better understanding of its target market. I do think that some niche games (Peggle anyone? OK, I said it again… SORRY) will find larger audiences on the social networks and in mobile than they ever did in the traditional casual PC market.

I am also really enjoying a new game for iPhone that I-play just released called Alien Blobs. Kind of a mix of Bubble Town and Zuma with a pretty new twist on match-3 gameplay. Go to the App Store now and get it. There’s a free “lite” version, but just get the full version – it’s only $3.99.
